Becoming a Student

 

If you are thinking of becoming a student at Dutchess Community College - either to begin or to continue your education - you'll find all the information you need on this page. The College offers over 60 degree and certificate programs in areas from Aviation to Web Administration.

When you’re ready to apply for admission:

To learn about the costs of attending DCC (we have the lowest tuition of any college or university in the state) and what kind of financial aid is available:

After the Admissions Office has received your application and your transcripts, you may be asked to take a placement test called COMPASS . We suggest you review the sample COMPASS questions before you take the test.

Once we have your completed application, transcripts and testing, if needed, we will contact you to register for classes. If you have any questions or need more information, you can email the admissions office .
